Another week, another boutique! We're taking you inside our Rockefeller Center boutique today. This gem is located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, on the concourse level. It's a favorite of many locals and tourists in the area who aren't able to go uptown to Plaza Food Hall, Upper East Side or down to Bryant Park. It's a hidden gem, and perfect place to get your Lady M fix.

This is one our smaller boutiques, but still offers the full line of Lady M cakes. We love that there's ample seating both on the concourse level and upstairs (our choice on a sunny day) at Rockefeller Plaza. We do a lot of afternoon shopping in this area (all the good stores are here) and then pick up a slice of cake (like our only gluten-free treat, seen above) for a post-shopping reward.
We find ourselves in and around the Rockefeller Center area at least once a week just because there is so much to do (and eat!) here. We'll meet friends at the Baccarat Hotel for afternoon tea and of course love staying there with friends who are visiting. The dining room in which they host afternoon tea literally sparkles with crystals and all the dishes are served on Baccarat tableware. We like ordering the Turkish afternoon tea which comes with everything from warm, flaky spiced chicken pastillas to housemade sunflower-fennel simits. Labneh and rose halva for the sweet part of afternoon tea service! It's a unique experience, and both the food and tea are wonderful.

Right across the street is the MOMA which is a must for everyone whether you are a tourist or local. If at all possible, try to go early on a random weekday for the most peaceful experience... the weekend crowds are a bit much. We also have a super soft spot for the MOMA gift shop which is in a league of its own. Can't even keep track of how many birthday and holiday gifts we have purchased here; there's always something special and beautiful at every price point.
For proper dinners, we dress up and head to The Grill located at the iconic Seagram building (more on the history here). With all the tableside services throughout dinner, meals here are truly dinner and a show. You can also stop by the bar for an after work drink which is a real treat. The Modern is another beautiful restaurant we love; it's actually located at the MOMA and split between the formal dining room and slightly more casual bar room. FYI, the Tarte Flambée (a crisp, classic Alsatian flatbread with crème fraîche, onions, and lardons) is a definite do-not-miss item at the bar room!

Finally, you can't go wrong venturing into the Nintendo store, the only one of its kind; it's the perfect destination for kids and kids at heart.
Till next time,
Lady M
