Lady M Los AngelesWe currently have eleven cake boutiques locations across the US. We love them all equally and each boutique stands out for its own unique charm and specialties. Today, we'd like to introduce cake boutique #4, Los Angeles!
Known by locals as our West 3rd location, this is one of our larger locations, right in West Hollywood. There's ample parking in the back (complimentary one-hour validation with purchase, so do take advantage), and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Every table in the boutique is a good one, but if you're partial to people- (and cute dog-) watching, then ask to be seated at the couch outside. Nothing like spending the afternoon in sunshine with cake (the season is right for our March special, Mimosa) and a perfect glass of iced tea.
As you may imagine, this location spots celebrities on a daily basis. We like to respect privacy and keep it low key, and are always so flattered when a favorite celebrity drops in for a slice to stay or whole cake to go...we hope they love the cakes as much as we do.
This boutique location is right next door to the ever-popular, and James Beard award winning, A.O.C. restaurant. We often stop in there after a long day for a glass of wine and the "vintner’s plate," a beautifully portioned dish of rich rillettes, cured meats, and cheese. There's also pickles, roasted grapes (our favorite part!) and grilled toast to round things out. It's a super romantic restaurant, all cozy and warm; definitely put this on your books for a date night spot... and remember to have dessert first.Signature Mille Crêpes
Just a five minute drive away is the Beverly Hills location of Lawry's The Prime Rib, a beloved and famous old-school prime rib house. This is our go-to spot to take friends/family visiting from out of town. The menu is simple: prime rib! All you have to do is pick the size/thickness of your prime rib slice and they take care of the rest. First comes the salad in the famous spinning bowl, prepared tableside with a flourish (it's like dinner and a show). Then out comes the prime rib, sliced tableside and plated with mashed potatoes, and piping hot Yorkshire pudding served straight from the cast iron skillet. Lot of horseradish and accompaniments on the side. It's a feast, a very fun one.
Don't forget that the shopping heaven aka Beverly Center is but a minute away! Many of our afternoon boutique visitors come to rest and recharge after a day of luxurious shopping.
