Life is full of questions. Last week, we asked you how you enjoy a slice of our Mille Crêpes cake. We’re happy to say that, over 8,000 views later, the results are in!
Coming in third and fourth:

We were surprised to see Roll and Peel in last place! We see a bit of both in boutiques (and not just from the young kids). This technique is especially common with first-time visitors, as they look for evidence that there are at least twenty layers, that each one is paper-thin, and that our signature pastry cream is interlaid between each and every crêpe layer. They'll switch to a more "traditional method" once curiosity is satisfied.
Next, in second place:

We don't exactly encourage this method, but we get it: grabbing hold of a slice is inexplicably satisfying. If all dine-in boutique procedures are followed, forks will be at your table before the slices. But if we forget, you have our full permission to dig in. And if you take your cake to-go, all bets are off.
Finally, last but certainly not last, our winner:

We can't say we're surprised. Mille Crêpes is not exactly a traditional cake, but there's nothing quite like the traditional method of sliding your fork down the paper-thin layers of crêpes and cream. It doesn't make a sound, but you almost wish it did. Some of our favorite fan photos are of that first forkful hanging in the air, the last moment before that fateful bite.
P.S. Speaking of sounds, keep an eye on our Instagram for a special surprise next week!
Till next time,
